Devils Dive Estate

Great place and a fantastic location for wine tours and/or events at the Peninsula Room, which is 2 minutes down the street. The house was well stocked with kitchen suppliers and I appreciated the makeup remover wipes in the bathroom. The shower in full bathroom on the first floor doesn't have any shelf, chair, ledge, etc. so there is nowhere to put shower toiletries, the rooftop deck was unfurnished (as shown in the photos), and some rooms don't have blinds. Additionally, the hosts were completely inflexible on check-in/check-out time. They mentioned their cleaning crew comes "promptly at 10am," so we had everything out of the house by 10, but spent 45 minutes in the driveway packing the car and the cleaning crew didn't show up until 10:30-10:40. Overall, it worked and was spacious and accommodated our needs well; however, I'm not sure it's worth $750+/night. If you must be close to the Peninsula Room, it's the best option. Otherwise, you might be able to find better value elsewhere.

The house was beautiful. Looked just like the photos. Everything was orderly and very clean. We were in town for a family wedding. We had so much fun at all of the wineries, beaches, and local restaurants. The drive up the peninsula was breathtaking!!!! We took a lot of our food and cooked every morning. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. The salt and pepper containers were empty and we had to purchase some from town. The bathrooms were clean but I did not care for the shampoo, conditioner, or shower soap. It had a strange "old" smell to it. I took my own form home so it was ok. A can of cooking spray would have been helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will visit the area again.

What a peaceful place on the peninsula! The layout and number of rooms was perfect for our group. My family enjoyed all the rooms and we loved the quiet location. Very convenient to wineries, restaurants, and beautiful Michigan views. We had great communication with the host, however, there was some confusion about what amenities were available at the home. It is not indicated on the listing but future visitors should know that there were a number of outdoor chairs and a picnic table (they said there wasn’t when I asked). There is also a solo stove and grill (grill was indicated no on the listing). We also had a mice issue - thankful that the mice were kind and quiet and we made due. We could have left but we liked the house and found it not worth it to look for another option. The host was very responsive when I shared updates, had pest control come out to remediate things, and provided a refund and bottle of wine. Despite the unfortunate mouse issue, we really did love the home!

We apologize for some confusion, rest assured that we will do better next time, the outdoor furniture and the grill were added later to the listing due to them being summer amenities. The mouse situation is very common in northern Michigan, especially in wooded areas which is why we took a prompt response into getting our emergent pest control team there to solve the issue. We hope to host you again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Devils dive. This Airbnb has a great design aesthetic and layout was very accommodating for our group.The location worked out great for us, we were happy to be a little outside of the downtown busy tourist area, and this location offered great proximity to beaches, parks, wineries, and restaurants.

My stay was amazing! Within 5-10 min of all the wineries. And on top of that, there was plenty of space. Communication was also incredibly clear. I would stay again anytime.

Pristinely clean, comfortable and beautiful home. And with essentially 3 living spaces (living room upstairs, downstairs and sun room) this would be a great place to travel with friends or other families. My husband and I loved it for the week. Definitely recommend.
