Newly Remodeled Bayview Cabin 6

Such a cute CLEAN little cottage! The little beach was beautiful and would love to come back in summer to be able to swim. The space it very thought out and deigned perfectly. Bed was comfy pillows a little flat for my liking. Everything you need for a few night stay. Just a few things wish the provided beach towels as we flew here to didn’t have room in luggage to pack them. The beach chair has a lot of spider webs on them maybe just because it’s down season. Do not ask for a early or late check out as they charge you $75 not courtesy even when there is no one checking in after you. Always such a big difference when Air BnBs are ran by home owners verse company ran.

My family and I stayed at Lakeshore for 4 nights in August. We have 2 young children and thought the space would be perfect as it had the bunk-beds and was right on the beach. The design was really cute and they took extra care to include beautiful details. But one thing that was missing was a place to store our clothes. It’s very small and there wasn’t any sort of drawers or shelving in the rooms. We had to lay the kids luggage on the ground and hop over it. Also our biggest complaint was by far the gnats. They were absolutely everywhere from the moment we walked in and when I told management about it, they told us it was because we must have left the window open ( we did not) and then told us to put some bowls of vinegar out. After I refused they ended up sending someone to try to remedy the problem. It didn’t work that well and the kitchen and bathroom were still full of them. Also, the shower didn’t drain properly and when I told them, I didn’t get a response. Disappointing ?

Hi Lydia, Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our newly updated Cabin 6 at our Lakeshore Resort. The unit itself is indeed quaint and charming. The listing explains that this unit is a beach cottage. We will take your feedback into consideration regarding adding more shelving and storage for clothing items, as we are always doing yearly updates to our properties to better the guests experience. Regarding the gnats, this was an unusual year in Northern Michigan for lake bugs unfortunately. The unit was thoroughly cleaned and inspected the day of your arrival, and no bugs were found at that time. When we did hear that there was an issue with gnats our team was prompt in responding to your compliant. We had our emergent pest control team come to the property to resolve the issue that exact evening. We were unaware that the issue was never resolved as you never reached back out again once the pest control team left. If you would have only reached out we would have sent our team back out there to resolve as we care deeply for our guests stay to be a positive one. Unfortunately, our apologies but we were unaware there was an issue with the shower not draining properly, as we have no record of that conversation. It is important to let us know of all issues immediately so that we can resolve in a timely manner. Thank you for understanding and we hope to host you and your family again at our Lakeshore Resort.

If a private beach that’s only minutes from the fun and food is what you’re looking for, this place is nearly unbeatable! Our family of five enjoyed games in the yard and the clean beach, but struggled having only dishes for one person and no dishwasher. There wasn’t a fire pit like the neighboring hotels had, but there are boat and jet ski rentals very close! We expected the place to be small, but the air wasn’t working and there’s SUPER ratchet carpet throughout that made it feel smaller. The owner supplies shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and more…but if you’re over 5’10” you’ll be looking down at the shower head. The knobs didn’t work in the showers, so you often heard shouting from us because we were either standing in ice cold water or getting scalded. Honestly, we’d highly recommend this place if the carpet and maintenance issues were resolved.

Wonderful location right on the beach. Comfortable beds, although would not recommend the fold out couch for sleeping. Plenty of towels, blankets, and paper products. Excellent communication; we were granted late check-out which was awesome. This condo is old, but clean. It was chilly during our October stay and the heat worked great-very cozy.
