Sandy Beachfront House on Grand Traverse Bay

You just can't beat that view! Th house was clean and great for our group of 8. kitcheh and bedrooms weren't fancy or updated, but they were perfectly nice and the 1960s vibe worked! It was great to have the beach amenities like kayaks and a fire pit with chairs. It was easy to get up old mission peninsula for wineries and views and easy to get to town for dinner and the farmers market! Would definitely stay again.

We loved this vintage cottage right on the bay. The beach and fireplaces were perfect, views were inspiring. Amenities were a bonus and location to coffee and stores was well suited for our trip. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this beach house. The beach walk out and views were amazing! The size was perfect for our family of four. We appreciated the prompt communication, kayaks, and beach toys. However, the street the house is on is very noisy. Our children had a tough time adjusting to the street noise and woke up early when the trucks started driving by. The noise was less noticeable in the master bedroom. The house is dated but the 60s vibe is cute and functional. We would book this house again.

House is exactly as described. Location right on the bay is amazing. Beach is great. House is dated but you can tell that by the photos. Lots of space. We had 5 people and there was plenty of room. A/c in bedrooms worked great.

Pros: clean, spacious, waterfront location. Cons: as previous reviews have noted, on a four-lane busy road with noisy traffic going very fast, outdoor spaces/beach/dock in need of attention, house is very dated. Overall great to have the lake right outside the back door and downtown TC is just 10 minutes away (without traffic.)

Sandy Beachfront House on Grand Traverse Bay is located on the East Bay corridor and that area does get busier during the summer but the home faces the water and there is no noise on the beach, we still appreciate your comments as it will help us improve for future guests. Awesome hosts and amazing house. It was everything we needed on our holiday weekend preparing us all for our Bayshore races. Clean house, spacious with a second to none view of the bay. We had a wonderful stay here! The living room views with that big window were incredible and if you leave your window cracked at night you can hear the sound of the waves as you fall asleep. Check-in was a breeze. This location is also very close to downtown so we had no trouble adventuring. Everything was clean and organized when we arrived. Only thing to note and hopefully the hosts will update this: The photos are not accurate. There are no bunk beds + futon, it's now two double beds. We didn't realize that so we were one bed short. Luckily, we had the forethought to bring an air mattress so we ended up okay! Also, the television in the description is a "smart tv for streaming", this was not the case. It had limited channels of cable TV only.

Amazing views of Lake Michigan. The backyard is totally worth it. The location is great and the space was clean. You have your own private beach. Dog friendly as our furry friends enjoyed the beach as well. Close to downtown and wineries. Overall great Stay!

Loved our stay at Bayshore. Great get away from the city with quick access to town. Being right on the beach was amazing and we loved having access to the kayaks and stand up paddle boards provided. We utilized the two fire places in the home as well which made it feel so cozy!

The lake views in this rental are stunning! Not walkable to downtown or other restaurants due to it being on such a busy road. The access to the lake and beach though is unlike anything else!! The house was cleanly and beds so comfy, the only thing I would have loved is vacuuming of the corners for bugs and windows so guests can open up bug free on a cool night. Overall an amazing spot, hoping to come back when it’s a little warmer to take advantage of all the amenities!! Thank you!

Beautiful home, located right on grand Traverse Bay with easy and immediate access to the beach. Location is fantastic with a grocery store, coffee, shop, bakery, all than walking distance, and only minutes drive into town for access to restaurants and activities the home as well supplied with beach toys for kids, and with paddle boards and kayaks. The property manager also provided recommendations for a service to pre-deliver groceries which we made use of. The contact for the property manager was easy to reach and responded very quickly when an issue came up. would certainly consider staying there again in the future.

This house had stunning views of the lake. We stayed in April so weren't able to take advantage of summertime water activities, but would love to return during the warmer months. Everything in the house was exactly as described, and had easy access to downtown TC by driving/uber.

What a wonderful place to stay. Truly relaxing. It was too cold to sit by the water, but it didn’t matter with that huge picture window! Very very clean and extra close to all the Traverse City hot spots. I highly highly highly recommend.

The view and location are incredible! We loved the amenties such as kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit, grill. We went during labor day weekend and the bugs, spiders, flies were invasive and we do not think the place was clean enough for the price paid (sand on the floor, spider webs, trash bins were full at check in). We had to buy our own bugs spray and bug repelant which, for the price paid, should have been provided by the host.
