Willow Tree Cottage Waterfront on Suttons Bay

Heaven on earth. So cozy, charming, comfortable. Sunsets on the dock every night were magical (thank you SO much for leaving the dock up!!) We had the BEST time. Thank you!!!!

This is a wonderful location. Unfortunately we were really looking forward to a fire pit for our evenings and it was a deciding factor for us with another local airbnb. The tub also did not drain while showering which wasn’t great but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely stunning cottage right on the lake/bay. Perfect weekend getaway. Very clean. The host was very communicative to us. Had "extras" that I've not seen in many of the rentals up in the Traverse City area. Sutton's Bay is a small, but very adorable town year round. The locals are very nice. The drive into TC is short and easy to get to if you want to go into the larger town. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this cottage to anyone.

The house itself was as expected for the most part. Loved all the lamps and cozy lighting, and the sunroom was a nice space. Of course it was beautiful and peaceful outside with some lovely sunsets. I was caught off guard by the size of the upstairs bedroom with two twin beds. It was a very cramped attic space. There wasn’t any photos of the beach either. A view of the outside space from the water would have been very helpful. My biggest issue was the cleaning fee; $376 is ridiculous. We were expected to strip beds, wash dishes, empty trash, collect towels, etc. For nearly $400, I’d expect to have to do nothing upon exiting except collect my own belongings. Overall the stay was enjoyable and the house was as expected but I would not stay here or with Bayshore again on account of the astronomical cleaning fee.

Hey Emily, thank you so mush for your feedback! We are constantly looking for better ways to advertise this home, and more pictures of the beach is a great point! We understand your concern with the cleaning fee. Unfortunalty because this home does not have laundry on site, this adds for an extra cost to launder all items. This is what spikes that cleaning cost. We are always looking for better pricing for cleans, and hope to get them as low and competitive as we can. Overall, we are so happy you enjoyed your time at our cottage, and hope to have you visit with us again!

Lovely little cottage steps from the gorgeous Bay. Home was very clean and well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds and furniture comfy. Loved the decor and special touches like the outdoor flowers and indoor plants. Nice outside seating on patio and both ends of dock. Really liked the soaps provided, too. Thoughtful items like clips for chip bags, matches, citronella candle appreciated. The local welcome food items were a classy touch as well! Downtown Sutton's Bay only minutes away, quick drive to Traverse City; beautiful trip up Mission Peninsula to wineries as well.

The Willow Cottage was cozy, well furnished, had excellent beds (bedding, mattresses, pillows), beautiful views, gorgeous willow tree, kind neighbors, very responsive customer service, and was close to downtown Sutton’s Bay. Great location between Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Lots to do nearby, even if weather is not ideal. One of the best homeshare experiences we’ve had. Would love to visit again!

Our stay at Willow Tree House exceeded all expectations! We immediately fell in love with the cottage and the beautiful scenery of Suttons Bay. The sunset views from under the willow tree can not be beat! We will definitely be staying here again in the future.
